The Center for Analytical Examination of Azerbaijan’s Health Ministry said on Oct. 12 that the import of medicines with instructions in foreign languages to the country will be banned from Jan. 1, 2017.

In accordance with the law of Azerbaijan “On medicines” and the rules “On state registration of medicines” approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on July 13, 2007, the instructions for use of medicines must be written in the Azerbaijani language, noted the Center.

In this regard, the medicines with instructions written in foreign languages and disapproved by the Health Ministry’s Expert Council of Pharmacology and Pharmacopoeia will not be imported to the country from Jan. 1, 2017, warned the Center.
