Azerbaijan to apply new rules on freezing assets suspected of funding terrorism

A conference organized by Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, on “The Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: main obstacles and prospects of the settlement. View from Armenia and Azerbaijan” has today kicked off in Baku.

 

Representatives of local civil society institutions, as well as international organizations and diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan attend the conference.

 

Addressing the event, President of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum Rauf Zeyni spoke of the history and the reasons of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He expressed confidence that the two peoples want to compromise for the sake of peace in the region.

 

Rauf Zeyni expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness to negotiate conflict resolution, to ensure peace and stability in the region. He emphasized that along with political circles, the public, intellectuals, the media, heads of NGOs and diaspora organizations should give their contribution for the settlement of the problem.
