Azerbaijan strongly condemns the terror attack perpetrated in Paris, the head of the press service of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Hikmet Hajiyev, said Jan. 7.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of this terror act and the people of France, and wish the soonest recovery of the wounded,” Hajiyev said.
“Azerbaijan, as country suffering from terrorism, condemns all forms and manifestations of terrorism,” he said, adding, “We also reiterate that no act of terrorism can be justified.”
Hajiyev also noted that Azerbaijan staunchly supports the efforts of international community in the fight against terrorism and makes its contributions to this struggle.
Today, an armed attack was carried out on the office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
Some 12 people were killed in the attack, and ten more were injured.
Two of the killed are police officers.
