Azerbaijan has sent humanitarian aid to Afghan people who suffered from the mud flows in the country.
Around 114 tonnes of humanitarian aid has been sent to Afghanistan in accordance with the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Commander of Civil Defense Troops of Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations, Major-General Ilham Abdullayev told journalists on May 4.
The humanitarian aid consists of meat, vegetable oil, rice, tea, flour, and other products, as well as bedding, according to Abdullayev.
The humanitarian aid will be received by the Azerbaijani embassy in Kabul, and then will be handed to local authorities.
Recall, over 2,100 people were killed in massive landslides that struck Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province.
