The Council of the European Union has adopted a decision on the signing of an agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan on the readmission of persons who do not have permission to stay (reside) in the territory of the EU countries, according to a message posted on the website of the EU.
The decision was adopted at a meeting of EU Council that was held in Brussels.
Azerbaijan and the EU earlier signed a visa facilitation agreement.
The document will take effect after the signing of the readmission agreement.
