Armenian Armed Forces violated ceasefire 260 times in May, 2014.
According to the results of APA’s monitoring based on the reports confirmed by Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry, two servicemen of Azerbaijani Armed Forces were killed, four injured as Armenians violated the ceasefire.
The ceasefire has been broken intensively in the last decade of the month. In the last days of May, the ceasefire was violated most in the south of Karabakh front – in the direction of Fuzuli and Jabrayil regions. Ceasefire was violated 72 times in the direction of Fuzuli region. The attacks of Armenian subversive groups in this direction were prevented several times. A number of Armenian servicemen, including the chief intelligence officer of Army Corps in Karabakh were killed.
The ceasefire was violated 56 times in Aghdam, 32 times in Terter, 23 times in Khojavand, 19 times in Jabrayil, 15 times in Goranboy and 6 times in Goygol.
On Armenia-Azerbaijan state border – the ceasefire was violated 27 times in Gazakh region, 7 times in Tovuz region, 6 times in Gedebey region, 2 times in Dashkasan and once in Aghstafa region.
According to APA’s monitoring, the ceasefire was violated 2502 times in the first fifth months of 2014. 11 Azerbaijani servicemen were killed. 17 servicemen (8 of them hit a mine) and two civilians were injured.
