Some local electronic media outlets release wrong information with no source that the Azerbaijani armed forces allegedly suffered losses on the frontline, the Defense Ministry’s press service told APA on Sep.2.
This sort of news reports which serve Armenia’s interests are often released at times Armenian armed forces suffer casualties in front line confrontations in order to overshadow Azerbaijan’s military achievements, said the ministry.
“We have information that the enemy has lost 18 servicemen and has up to 50 more wounded during August alone,” the ministry stressed.
According to the ministry, there already arise doubts about the national origin of some people who are keen to serve Armenian interests by disseminating unverified, overstated, and mostly unreal reports that do not reflect the real situation.
The Defense Ministry makes regular statements of the incidents, which are appropriate to publicize in terms of security, taking place along the front line. At the same time, the ministry recommends that reports of this type are released with much sensitivity, said the ministry.
