Amendments in Azerbaijan’s state budget recommended to be discussed in parliament

So that, according to amendments, the income of state budget for 2011 is increased by AZN 3,493.2 mln. After this, the income will be AZN 15,554.2 mln, up 29% from affirmed forecast. The income will be increased from taxes and customs duties (AZN 770 mln) and AZN 2.7 bln from SOFAZ.

The expenditure are increased by 25% or AZN 3,193.2 mln to AZN 15,941.2 mln compared to initial budget expenditures affirmed for 2011. After the growth, 48.4% or AZN 7,716.5 mln of expenditure will made the current expenses, 49.4% or AZN 7,878.0 mln – capital expenditure, 2.2% or AZN 346.7 mln – expenditure for services related to public debt.

AZN 462.7 mln or 66.3% of AZN 698.0 mln considered for increase of current expenditures, will be spent to the reforms on pension system, including to the employees of establishments which financed by state budget.

AZN 2,484.1 mln or 77.8% of additional expenses will be directed to capital expenditure, up 73.5% from initial expenditures.

AZN 687 mln-fund considered for financing of budget deficit is planned to be reduced by AZN 300 mln on the account of additional incomes.

Note that, the main importance of amendments is to strengthen the social protection of population, continuation of reforms in pensions system, increase of wages of employees working in institutions financed by state budget and etc.

The price of oil used in accounting of income of state and review budgets was accounted as %80 a barrel at the project. Note that, the base price of oil is $60.

The draft law was recommended to be discussed at the plenary meeting of parliament.
