“Armenia wants to organize provocations in our country through some Muslim countries,” Chairman of Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh said at a meeting with believers in Guba region, APA reports.
According to him, Muslims, who make the majority of Azerbaijan’s population, are in very good relations with representatives of other religions. He said that this tolerance was founded by Heydar Aliyev and this policy is continued by President Ilham Aliyev: “There are new mosques, old mosques are being reconstructed. The construction of synagogues and churches are also on the agenda.”
Allahshukur Pashazadeh stated that there are forces, who are dissatisfied with this tolerance and the achievements of Azerbaijan: “Armenia wants to organize provocations in Azerbaijan through some brothers – Muslim countries. But they will not succeed.”
