“Several editor-in-chiefs appealed the Press Council on pardoning imprisoned journalists. We will address on the issue”, Ali Hasanov, Chairman of Socio-Political Department of the Presidential Office told journalists, APA reports. He noted that the journalists had been arrested under the decision of the court.
“There was not any influence on the court neither in Azerbaijan nor in international community. They have not been arrested for their professional activity. They can be released after pardoning. After ending procedure, the head of state should be appealed to consider the issue”, he said.
