Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul positively valued his visit to Armenia. Returning from Yerevan Gul told Turkish journalist that Turkey’s image was strengthened at the international arena after this visit, APA reports. “Sargsyan made a step inviting me to the match. If I didn’t accept the invitation, all over the world would say that “he didn’t’ dare””. Abdullah Gul said he discussed the Nagorno Karabakh issue with Sargsyan in detail.
“To tell the truth I didn’t expect that we would discuss the Karabakh problem so extensively and in detail. This problem will be solved sooner or later, but there is no need to lose 20-30 years for that. The current conjecture is useful for solution to the conflict”. Turkey’s President said they didn’t touch upon the issues of false “genocide” and opening the borders. He said they decided to launch mutual dialogue officially. Gul added that he would visit Azerbaijan in near future.
