The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) said it has decided to send an observation mission for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
Following an invitation from the authorities of Azerbaijan to observe the 1 November 2015 parliamentary elections, based on the findings and conclusions of the Needs Assessment Mission deployed from 12 – 14 August 2015, and in accordance with its mandate, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) is preparing to deploy an Election Observation Mission (EOM) for these elections.
For this purpose, 15 programmatic positions have been appointed and they will begin to operate on September 14. 14 more places have been appointed for administrative positions and they will begin to operate on September 5. Another 16 positions have been appointed for regional officials and they will begin to operate on September 22. The OSCE ODIHR has announced vacancies for these duties.
