Criminal case on Article 120.2.3 (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code was launched on murder of Azerbaijan Defense Ministry’s Air Force and Air Defense Command General-Lieutenant Rail Rzayev.
Law enforcement bodies told APA that the Criminal Case on Article 120.2.3. (Deliberate murder of victims or his close relatives in connection with implementation of a given person of service activity or performance of public debt) of the Criminal Code was launched in the Military Prosecutor of the Republic. What arm was used in the murder has not been determined yet. Operational search actions of a criminal are underway.
It should be noted that Rail Rzayev was shot in 500 m from his house. He was taken to Central Clinic Hospital in the morning, but the doctors could not save his life. T It is not known who and why committed the murder.
Rail Gurban Rzayev was born in Salyan region in 1945. He graduated from Vladikavkaz Anti-Aircraft Missiles Command School in 1966. He served in anti-aircraft missiles unions of former Soviet army in Azerbaijan. He was a Chief of Baku Repair Base of Aircraft Defense Forces in 1989-1992. He was appointed commander-in-chief of Air Defense Troops in 1992. He participated in Nagorno Karabakh war. He was a Commander-in-chief of the Air Forces in 1994. He was promoted to lieutenant general by the order of Ilham Aliyev in 2004. He was awarded several orders and medals of Azerbaijan. He has three children.
