Baghdad and Washington reached preliminary deal on withdrawal of US troops from Iraq until 2011. 152 thousand US troops will leave Iraq phase-by-phase in this period, APA reports.
The forces of international coalition will be withdrawn from the urban areas by June 30, 2009. Iraqi parliament is expected to ratify the agreement on November 24.
US-Iraqi agreement caused protest among the Shiah movement in Irag, as well as in Tehran and Damascus. Iraqi Shiah leader Mogtedah as-Sadr said he would begin new movement against the agreement.
