Under the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs has granted new apartments to remaining 16 IDP families of 25 who lost both parents during the Khojaly genocide.
Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov on Friday received young people who lost both parents as a result of the Khojaly genocide and were brought up by their relatives settled in Gizilgum sanatorium and other places in Sabunchu district.
Hasanov said that according to the president’s instructions, IDPs were given well-equipped apartments in the newly constructed residential buildings in Ramana settlement of Sabunchu district. The Azerbaijani government will further continue measures to improve IDPs’ living conditions and solve their various problems.
Yasemen Hasanova, Natig Mammadov, Hamayil Valiyeva, national hero Tofig Huseynov’s daughter Afsana Akbarova, who lost their parents during the genocide, expressed gratitude for this kindness. Then, the Committee’s Repatriation Department presented the orders and keys of the apartments to young IDPs.
