Rules for admission to universities announced in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s State Student Admission Commission made public the rules for admission to universities in the country this year.

 

SSAC press service told APA that specialty selection for at higher education institutions will be held from July 30 to August 11.

 

According to the rules, the applicants, gaining more than 200 points totally and more than 10 points in each subject, can participate in the specialty selection for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th groups. No point limit is applied for applicants gathering more than 350 points. Any changes to the rules will be made public.

 

The qualification requirements for the state-ordered planned seats will be specified by the SSAC in July upon the completion of entrance exams of this year’s graduates.

 

The specialty selection for secondary specialized schools on 11-year educational basis will be held on August 14-19. Applicants with total points not less than 16 and not less than minimum 8 points on both subjects of native language and mathematics (relative score restriction is not available for foreign language or chemistry) can take part in the specialty selection.
