As of April 1, 2015, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,618,200, up 25,200 persons or 0.3% from early 2015.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 111 persons in a km². Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,009 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages.
In January-February, 2015, 338,400 babies were born in the country. Of this, 53.6% are boys, 46.4% – girls.
13,600 deaths have been recorded since early 2015.
