Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan have mutual understanding on cooperation in Caspian Sea – President Aliyev

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beybit Isabayev April 19.

 

Isabayev reviewed the guard of honor.

 

Isabayev handed his credentials to President Aliyev.

 

President Aliyev then had a conversation with the ambassador.

 

Noting the existence of historic friendly and brotherhood relations between the two nations, the president expressed with satisfaction that the bilateral relations between the two countries have reached the level of alliance in modern period. President Aliyev hailed the high-level of political relations, and stressed the two countries supported each-other within the international organizations.

 

The president said that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have jointly implemented important economic, energy and transport projects, adding all these served to further strengthening of cooperation potential. President Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have complete mutual agreement over determination of the Caspian status and cooperation in the Caspian basin.

 

The president expressed confidence that during Isabayev`s activity as ambassador the relations would be further strengthened and that the two countries` joint efforts towards providing regional cooperation and security would be increased.

 

Isabayev conveyed greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to President Aliyev. The ambassador expressed confidence over the further development of existing friendly and brotherhood relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in highest level, and said he would spare no efforts towards expansion of relations during his tenure.

 

President Aliyev thanked for the greetings of President Nazarbayev and asked the ambassador to communicate his greetings to the president of Kazakhstan.
