Azerbaijani Parliament is considering a draft law introducing amendments to Article 6.2 of the Law “On the state policy towards Azerbaijanis living abroad”.
According to the amendments, any state agency can provide social assistance to low-income Azerbaijanis living abroad only under the rules set out by the relevant executive authority, the parliament told APA on Nov. 18.
The State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan Republic is the relevant executive authority for Azerbaijanis living abroad.
The draft law has been recommended for the discussion at the parliament’s plenary session, scheduled for Nov. 29.
