Armenian armed units have violated the ceasefire regime a total of 167 times using 60- and 82mm mortar launchers in different directions along the contact line within a day, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Aug. 20.
Armenian armed units fired on the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces located in nameless uplands, and Gaymagli and Kemerli villages of Gazakh district, Kohnegishlag village of Agstafa district from the positions located in Barekamavan, Dovekh villages of Armenia’s Noyemberyan, nameless uplands and Paravakar village of Ijevan district.
Armenians also fired on Azerbaijani positions located in Kokhanebi village of Tovuz district from the posts in Chinari village of Berd district, and nameless uplands of Gadabay district from the posts in Jil village and nameless uplands of Krasnoselsk district.
The Azerbaijani positions also underwent fire from the positions near Tapgaragoyunlu, Gulustan villages of Goranboy, Chilaburt, Goyarkh, Giziloba, Yarimja villages of Terter, Kengerli, Yusifjanli, Nemirli, Novruzlu, Shuraabad, Garagashli, Merzili villages of Aghdam, Gorgan, Ashagi Abdurrahmanli, Ashagi Seyidahmadli villages of Fuzuli, Mehdili village of Jabrayil, as well as nameless uplands of Goygol, Goranboy, Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrayil districts.
The enemy was silenced by retaliatory fire.
