Information about the sale of products made in occupied Azerbaijani territories, tourism development, shipment in those areas, etc. has been removed from Chinese company “Alibaba” (www.alibaba.com), the Azerbaijani embassy in China told APA.

To discuss the matter, an embassy representative has met with Dong Wei Shi, the vice-president of Alibaba Company, in the company’s office in Beijing.

At the meeting, the embassy gave thorough information about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, noting that the UN Security Council, also with support from China, has adopted 4 resolutions on the conflict.

It was said China supports a solution to the conflict based on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, mentioning that such a position has been asserted in the Joint Declaration adopted during the Azerbaijani president’s official visit to China in 2005.

Mr. Dong Wei Shi outlined that although Alibaba is an apolitical organization it respects China’s political position and that they would deal with the matter seriously.

He said Azerbaijan and China are two friendly countries, assuring that they would take measures to make sure no such cases come about in the future. He also added that Alibaba is ready to closely cooperate with Azerbaijan.
