Azerbaijani Parliament has discussed the law on “Execution of state budget of Azerbaijan for 2014” at its plenary meeting today, APA reports.
Speaking about the issue, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee Chingiz Asadullayev said that Azerbaijan continued to provide the transparency on state and consolidated budget in 2014, development strategy defined by the head of state was carried out successfully.
Asadullayev noted that on the background of global economic crisis, Azerbaijan developed and this is a consequence of a sound policy.
Chairman of Chamber of Accounts Vugar Gulmammadov said the forecasts on road and land taxes were fulfilled at low level last year: “Taking into account the increase of state debt year-on-year, we think it’s expedient to draw up a strategy for reducing state debt in the long-term perspective. Chamber of Accounts has given a positive opinion on execution of state budget for 2014”.
According to Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, though the prices of export products of Azerbaijan fell twice, the economic growth continues in the country. He said Azerbaijan preserved economic growth rate in spite of instable economic situation in the world.
After discussions, the draft law was adopted.
