President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have received Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Amin Madani.
The sides noted that relations between Azerbaijan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation are developing successfully. The importance of joint projects in various areas was stressed. Recalling his official visit to Saudi Arabia this April, President Ilham Aliyev said the trip was successful and fruitful in terms of the further development of cooperation in a variety of fields.
Secretary General OIC Iyad Amin Madani said large-scale land improvement work and ongoing development processes in Baku made deep impression on him. Highlighting the importance of the 3rd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku, Madani stressed the significance of this event, and said it featured a variety of opinions. During the conversation, the sides expressed their confidence that relations between Azerbaijan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be further expanded.
