The spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will kick off in Strasbourg Apr.20.
Discussions on the human rights and international law, the humanitarian consequences of the actions of the terrorist group known as “Islamic State” will be among the highlights of PACE spring session to be held from 20 to 24 April.
In addition, the reconsideration of sanctions in respect of the Russian delegation to PACE, the budget and priorities of the Council of Europe will be discussed during the spring session.
Didier Reynders, Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Belgium, will present the communication from the Committee of Ministers in the framework of the Belgian chairmanship, and Nils Muiznieks, Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner, will present his 2014 annual activity report.
Azerbaijani delegation led by the chairman of the parliamentary Committee for International and Interparliamentary Relations Samad Seyidov will take part in the session.
The delegation includes Azerbaijani MPs Sevinc Fataliyeva, Rovshan Rzayev, Elkhan Suleymanov, Rafael Huseynov, Ganira Pashayeva. Aydin Abbasov, Sabir Hajiyev, Sahiba Gafarova and Fazil Mustafa.
