Armenian Armed Forces opened fire at the positions of Azerbaijani Army during the monitoring conducted under the mandate of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office on the contact line near Horadiz village of Fuzuli region on January 14, the Defense Ministry told APA.
Field assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Yevgeny Sharov, who conducted monitoring on the Azerbaijani side, said that in compliance with pre-determined rules for monitoring, units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan didn’t open retaliatory fire on the enemy and necessary conditions for the completion of the monitoring were provided.
The Defense Ministry said that with their dirty provocative acts, the Armenian side, as usual, attempts to aggravate the situation and attract international organizations to that.
