Russia will ban import of a number of vegetable products.
APA-Economics reports quoting Russian press that according to Russian law “On Plant Quarantine”, amendments will be made to the rules of products imported under quarantine conditions from January 1, 2015.
The decision has been ratified by Customs Commission of Customs Union. It’s noted that import of any products being under quarantine conditions from Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and EU countries is banned. However, if height of the products being under quarantine conditions makes 5 kg (excluding seeds, materials available for planting and potato), they may be imported in luggage and baggage, including via post.
