Transport Ministry will appeal to the Tariff (Price) Council for increase of fares in transport facilities, deputy head of the Baku Regional Department of the Transport Ministry’s State Department for Transport Management Amrah Jafarov told APA-Economics.
He noted that new buses have today been put into operation: “Large funds have been spent for these buses. Probably, AZN 0.20-fare will not justify itself today”.
25 of 50 Isuzu buses are in use in the route #65 (the 9th Microdistrict – Azneft Square).
Other 25 buses will be put into operation on et route #61 soon.
These buses have been leased for 5 years. One bus costs €150,000.
Total 200 buses will be brought.
