“Azerbaijan is the most important country of the region for us. The transformation of the country to the economic center of the South Caucasus within a short period of time is a good example of this,” said Russian Foreign Minister at the meeting with participants of “The Dialogue for the Future” program.
Lavrov noted that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia on agriculture develops continuously. “Azerbaijan, not joining sanctions of Western countries, has proved that two countries are strategic partners in practice. We are interested in the supply of agricultural products from Azerbaijan to the Russian markets. I should add that I am a big fan of Azerbaijani cuisine.”
