Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov has met with President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ms. Maja Gojković.
Ogtay Asadov said he is confident that the visit will greatly contribute to the development of relations between the two countries, the parliament told APA.
He said the two countries have so far signed 25 documents and that there’s huge potential for the development of economic relations. During the meeting, the guest was informed about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Ogtay Asadov stressed that the activities of the interparliamentary working groups of the two countries should be enhanced even further.
During its OSCE chairmanship in 2015, Serbia will do its utmost to find a settlement to the Nagrono-Karabakh conflict and stimulate the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group, Maja Gojković noted. She also assured that Serbia supports Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and its position remains unchanged.
