The next joint drills of Azerbaijani and Turkish air forces are planned to be held in Turkey.
Azerbaijan’s deputy defense minister, the air force commander, Lieutenant General Ramiz Tahirov and the head of the Turkish air force department on work with staff, Brigadier General Emin Ayik met the N-military unit in Azerbaijan, on Sept. 30, according to the website of the Defence Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The mentioned military unit previously took part in the military air force drills of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
It should be noted that the Brigadier General Ayik is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
The Defense Ministry said that during the visit the parties were acquainted with special simulators that are used to train helicopter pilots.
Afterwards, the tasks that must be executed in the future were discussed at the airfield, which hosted the trainings, according to the ministry’s message.
During the discussions, it was noted that the Azerbaijani and Turkish air forces plan to hold the next joint drills in March of next year.
The military unit was also visited by the military attaché of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Brigadier General Hasan Nevzat Tasdeler.
