200 companies and 22 official delegations from 19 countries to attend 1st Azerbaijan International Defense Industry Exhibition

The Azerbaijan International Defense Industry Exhibition (ADEX 2014) will take place for the first time from the 11th to 13th September at the Baku Expo Center. 200 companies and 22 official delegations from 19 countries will attend the exhibition, APA reports.

 

Deputy Minister of Defense Industry Yahya Musayev said that 8 national groups from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, South Korea, Poland, Israel and Ukraine will present their displays at the exhibition. Other well represented companies among the exhibitors are from Turkey (37 companies), Israel (16 companies), Poland (16 companies), and Belarus (10 companies).

 

Musayev said that though it is the first exhibition, the participation of a large number of governments and companies indicates Azerbaijan’s reputation and self-affirmation. Azerbaijan is the forth country following Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan that holds such an exhibition in the Post-Soviet space.

 

Musayev noted that production capability of Azerbaijan’s defense industry are increasing year by year and the Azerbaijani side will display 168 products – air bombs, small arms and others. He said agreements on the sale of Azerbaijan’s products can be reached as a conclusion of the meetings to be held during the exhibition.

 

Deputy Minister stressed that defense ministers of Turkey and Israel, deputy ministers of Belarus, Korea, Qatar and Malaysia will also attend the exhibition.
