Baku will host a conference dedicated to the implementation of the strategy and action plan for social cohesion of the member countries of the Council of Europe on Sept. 10-11, said a statement of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan on Aug. 25.
The event will be held under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers of the Council of Europe, it will involve responsible persons of government agencies in employment and social protection of the CoE member states.
Azerbaijan, a member of the Council of Europe since 2001, ratified a number of important documents in the field of human rights, including social rights.
Purposeful work in the field of implementation of the provisions of these documents, including the strategy and action plan for social cohesion, as well as in bringing social legislation with the European one, is being carried out in Azerbaijan.
In this regard, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan cooperates with the appropriate committee of the social cohesion of the Council of Europe.
