‘Next interregional forum to take place in one of the Russian regions’

Russian Minister of Regional Development Igor Slyunyayev has said the next Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum will be organized in one of the Russian regions.

“Russia will host the sixth forum. Yekaterinburg, Ingush Republic, Stavropol Region and Dagestan have already expressed their wish to organize it,” said Mr. Slyunyayev as he spoke at a press conference as part of the 5th Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum in Gabala,

The Russian minister hailed trade between the two countries, saying “it is continuously growing to have exceeded 3.5 billion dollars”.

“Our bilateral trade involves more than 500 companies from the fields of oil and gas, machine building, energy and agriculture.”

Mr. Slyunyayev praised the organization of the forum, noting: “More than 500 people, including representatives of 25 Russian regions are attending this jubilee forum in Gabala.”
