Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has praised his country`s reactions with Azerbaijan as he spoke at a press conference following his meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku.
“The relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing not only in a bilateral, but also in a regional format,” said the Russian FM.
“We are developing our relations in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.”
Mr. Lavrov hailed his meeting with the Azerbaijani FM as fruitful.
The Russian FM said “we agreed that we should expand the cooperation between our countries in international organizations”.
He said a Russian-Azerbaijani business forum would be held soon involving more than 200 businessmen.
Mr. Mammadyarov hailed Azerbaijan-Russia relations as strategic.
He praised the bilateral economic cooperation.
Mr. Mammadyarov said his meeting with the Russian FM featured “a fruitful exchange of views on how to further deepen the bilateral ties”.
