An Azerbaijani delegation of heads of Executive Authorities of several cities and districts has visited the Embassy of the country in Japan.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzada said that the bilateral ties between the two countries had been intensifying in recent years.
The Ambassador noted the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Japan were established by national leader Heydar Aliyev during his visit to the country in 1998.
He said the relations moved into a new stage due to President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Japan in 2006.
The Ambassador noted the Azerbaijani delegation`s visit to Japan would contribute to further development of the bilateral cooperation.
Head of the delegation, Deputy Head of the Department for the Work with the Regional Administration and Local Self-Governing Bodies of the Presidential Administration Huseyn Movsumov hailed the activity of the Embassy and thanked for the organization of the visit.
