On Monday, a book of former UK Secretary of State for Defence, MP Liam Fox, “Rising Tides: Facing the Challenges of a New Era”, translated into Azerbaijani language and released by the “TEAS Press” publishing house, was presented in Baku.

At the event, it was noted that the book has been translated into Azerbaijani language and released by the “TEAS Press” publishing house. According to chairman of the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) Tale Heydarov, the author of the book has interesting views on the global events in the world. During the formulation and explanation of global problems, the author prefers alternative and denating judgments. Dr. Liam Fox has written a very informative introduction: “According to him, Azerbaijan is a global example for its past and today. I think it will be possible to write a weighty work about Azerbaijan on the basis of his ideas. In the book, a variety of chapters complement each other. There is a deep political analysis, and the results demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the author on the subject. “

Tale Heydarov recalled instructions given by President of Azerbaijan at the meeting with the staff of diplomatic missions regarding cooperation with Europe, noting the country’s active role on the security and fight against terrorism: “Translation into Azerbaijani language and the publication of the book of Dr. Liam Fox will contribute to further strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and the European countries and popularizing the country in the world. At the same time, the book proves that if local, regional challenges are problems with one or a group of countries, global challenge is a problem throughout the world and for all humanity. The world must come together for the solution. “

Editor of the book Kerim Shukurov reminded that TEAS has repeatedly implemented important projects for Azerbaijan. He also noted that the author of the book, being a doctor, came to politics from medicine.

Liam Fox expressed his appreciation for the leadership of TEAS on translation and publication of the book: “The problems in the world are related to each other. We have never thought that the changes in the world would be so rapid. If in ancient times, 3 decades were needed to pass along the Silk Road to Europe, but now the sky are up to half a million passengers flying at the same time. “The author noted that the book also deals with the financial crises, conflicts, international terrorism, etc: “I think that in this context, solutions to Azerbaijan’s problems should be found not only through diplomatic correspondence, but in the framework of international law. “
