The 92nd meeting of the Executive Council of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) kicked off in Baku.
Addressing the participants, President of IOTA Ms. Ljiljana Kovačević, Director General of the Serbian Tax Administration, said the meeting focused at solving the organizational and administrative problems and discussing preparations for the next IOTA General Assembly, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Taxes reported.
According to deputy tax minister, Sahib Alakbarov, IOTA is the most successful platform to apply in Azerbaijan, a country “with rapid economic development”. Alakbarov gave detailed information on the tax reforms carried out in the country last years.
The Executive Council will also discuss creation of the IOTA information platform, financial budget for the next year and the results of the organization’s activities in 2013.
