The 45th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council has started in Baku.
The event brings together delegates from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The Electric Power Council is an intergovernmental body of the CIS. It was founded in 1992 with the aim of coordinating electric power systems of the CIS countries.
It is the third meeting of the Council in Baku, with two previous gatherings held in 2004 and 2009.
