New chairman of Russia-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission appointed

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree appointing the Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin as the Russian side’s chairman in Russia-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission, ITAR -TASS reported.

“To approve the Russian Federation’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin the chairman of the Russian side in the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan Republic, relieving Khloponin from these duties,” according to the decree.

Alexander Khloponin is a Deputy PM and Russian president’s plenipotentiary envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District.
