Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs, chairman of Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Ali Hasanov has received U.S. Ambassador Richard Morningstar and several employees of the Embassy, State Committee’s press service told APA.
Hasanov said that there is good cooperation between the two countries, the relations had entered a new stage of development and expressed his gratitude to the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan for humanitarian assistance to the people that become refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and humanitarian and development projects.
Morningstar said that the visit aimed at contributing the measures taken by the Azerbaijani government to resolve the problems of refugees and IDPs and implementing various infrastructure projects and others: “The largest funds to improve the living conditions of IDPs are allocated by the Azerbaijani government. I think that our projects can also contribute to this process.”
The current situation in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, tasks lying ahead to resolve the problems of our compatriots and other issues of mutual interests were discussed at the meeting.
