Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Wednesday approving the ” National Strategy for Information Society Development in Azerbaijan for 2014-2020, ” APA reports.
According to the order, on the basis of “Development Concept ” of Azerbaijan 2020 and the Presidential Order on the announcement of 2013 “Year of ICT “, National Strategy for information Society Development in Azerbaijan for 2014-2020 should be approved.
The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies has been chosen a coordinating body for the implementation of the National Strategy.
The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to prepare and submit a draft State program for the implementation of the National Strategy.
The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies was charged at least once a year to inform the President on the progress of implementation of the Strategy.
