The European Neighbourhood Policy aims to prevent and resolve conflicts and provides incentives for our neighbours to move towards political and economic reforms, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Commission Vice-President Catherine Ashton said, the official website of the EU reported.
“The European Neighbourhood Policy allows us to respond to the challenges our partners face while safeguarding the EU’s interests,” she noted.
EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, Štefan Füle said that events over recent months have demonstrated that our neighborhood remains a region where the EU needs to focus its attention and resources.
