The OSCE Minsk Group will discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution and new ways of dialogue between the parties of conflict, the U.S. co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, James Warlick wrote on his Twitter page on March 12.

“Look forward to talks with Russia today on Nagorno-Karabakh. We are resolved to work together with France to support the path to peace,” he said.

Talks with FM Nalbandian in Moscow confirm that Armenia seeks a peaceful settlement in Nagorno- Karabakh, according to Warlick. ” Will pursue options for dialogue,” he wrote.

Armenian FM Edward Nalbadyan met with the OSCE MG co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Jacques Faure (France), Warlick (the U.S.) and the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk in Moscow on March 11.

Furthermore, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in Paris on March 10,

The parties expressed concern over non-settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The sides discussed the current situation in the negotiation process on the conflict settlement at a meeting in Paris.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the U.S. are currently holding peace negotiations.

Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council’s four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
