Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General, Zakir Hasanov visited the military units stationed on the front line, press service of the Defense Ministry told Trend on Feb. 8.
The minister first visited Alibayli village, where he met with the residents, the press service said. Afterwards Hasanov familiarized with the situation at the front line, where he met with soldiers and officers on duty.
Several servicemen were awarded medals and prizes by the minister.
The ministry’s press service said Hasanov also inspected the combat readiness of heavy military equipment and its capabilities. He gave instructions to improve the defense line and improve combat training of personnel.
During his visit the minister was accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Najmaddin Sadigov and other senior officers.
