Georgian President and Turkish Prime Minister discuss Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, who is paying an official to Ankara, has met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

 

Georgian Presidential Administration told APA’s Georgia bureau that the meeting took place during the working dinner at the residence of the Turkish Prime Minister.

 

The sides discussed prospects of Georgia-Turkey relations. It was noted that Turkey is the first trade partner of Georgia.

 

“The top priority for Georgia is to export products to Turkey without technical obstacles,” he said.

 

Projects jointly implemented by Georgia and Turkey were discussed at the meeting. Georgian President and Turkish Prime Minister also discussed Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.

 

Following this, Georgian President visited Turkish Parliament and met with speaker Cemil Cicek.
