Azerbaijan and Poland hold political consultations

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Poland have held political consultations, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan said on Friday.
The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister Khalaf Khalafov and the Polish delegation – by the Deputy Minister Katarzyna Pelchinska-Nalecz.
During the meeting, Khalafov noted the dynamics of the development of relations between the two countries do not meet the existing potential.
Azerbaijan is interested in cooperation with Poland in the fields of energy, agriculture, tourism, industry, and a number of others, Khalafov said, noting that there are all the necessary facilities available for that.
Azerbaijan is an important partner for the EU, Khalafov said, speaking about the exceptional role of the country in ensuring energy security of Europe.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan noted the necessity of withdrawing the Armenian armed forces from the occupied Azerbaijani territories, adding that Armenia does not show the necessary will to resolve the conflict. From this point of view, the importance of increasing pressure on Armenia from the European countries was stressed.
Katarzyna Pelchinska-Nalecz mentioned recently conducted reciprocal visits, and highlighting the dynamic development of Azerbaijan, said Poland is interested in deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan in many areas, particularly in the areas of education, energy and the economy.
According to her, Poland supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and is an advocate of resolving the conflict in a peaceful way.
The meeting also discussed other issues of bilateral and international relations.
