Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov, who is on a visit to Turkey, is holding discussions in the South Caucasus Forum.
Ibrahimov met with Greek former Foreign Minister, MP Dora Bakoyannis during the meeting of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, the State Committee told Trend today.
The main topic of discussion was the South Caucasus Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center in cooperation with the Club of Madrid, with the support of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, to be held in Baku from May 6-8.
Dora Bakoyannis stressed that this forum will act as a bridge between East and West and help the development of intercultural and inter-religious dialogue.
Dora Bakoyannis has actively contributed to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the chairmanship in the OSCE.
She will preside over the plenary session on the conflict during the South Caucasus forum.
It should be stressed that more than 30 former heads of state and governments from more than 50 world countries and more than 200 distinguished scientists and experts will attend the South Caucasus forum.
Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Fundacion de Paz and the Ganja leadership are organizing the South Caucasus Forum.
