The booklets and DVDs which were disseminated in the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, made the Azerbaijani delegation in the body feel dissatisfaction. “Azerbaijani delegation has officially voiced his displeasure to the chairman of the PACE. In general, Armenians actions are judged here. As this action is illegal, the chairman of the PACE has called the director of the Armenian delegation, held particular conversation in this regard and has explained that, such steps are not supposed to take”- the vice-president of the PACE, director of Azerbaijani delegation in the body Samad Seyidov said on Friday.

Within the session, the Armenian delegation has spread booklets and DVDs which falsify historical facts concerning the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

The conflict between the two countries of the South Caucasus began in 1988 due to Armenian territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Since 1992, Armenian Armed Forces have occupied 20% of Azerbaijan including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and its seven surrounding districts. In 1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement. The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France, and the US are currently holding peaceful negotiations without any result.
