The chairman of socio-political comittee in the National Assembly (parlament) Hadi Radjabli has stressed out with this objective that, additions and changes to the Family Code are contemplated in the autumnal session of the parlament.
According to the words of comittee chairman, the age limit for women of wmen will be augmented from 17 to 18. At present, this issue is very seriously discussed. Girls must me prepared to get married both physically and morally. Hadi Radjabli has underlined that, in exceptional cases girls to get married at the ages of 16-17 would be contemplated in the legislation.
In exceptional cases, to register the marriage at the age of 17 will be permitted. Girls at the age of 16 will be permitted to get married only in one case- when they are pregnant. One of the changes to be made to the Familly Code is the requirement of health certificate when registering the marriage.
