“It is wrong to demand translation of Turkish TV series broadcasted on Azerbaijani channels,” MP from YAP Siyavush Novruzov said in today’s sitting of the parliament’s spring session, APA reports.
The parliamentarian objected to the decision of the National Television and Radio Council to suspend broadcasting of Turkish TV series.
“We are also Turks and understand these TV series very well, there is no need to translate them. Heydar Aliyev said we are one nation, two states. One nation can not have two languages. Those who do not understand the TV series should look into their background,” he said.
Siyavush Novruzov said Turkish TV series were didactic and noted that the ban should be lifted.
